Recently, Katie Peters, DPT, also joined the practice! Katie Peters received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA in 2013. Prior to that she received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from CSU Monterey Bay in 2009.
Katie grew up in California where she participated in numerous sports including long distance running. Her love for sports and activity naturally led to an interest in working with athletes of all types and being a part of the recovery team. Katie has spend the last 6 years developing a strong background in orthopedic physical therapy. Today, she highly emphasizes manual therapy and a functional, whole body approach by incorporating treatments such as Myofascial Decompression, Graston Technique, running analysis and various other manual therapy treatment techniques.
In May of 2019, Katie and her husband welcomed their first child. The journey to motherhood peaked her interest and she is excited to be working with the pre and postpartum population as well.
