🥾🌄 This weekend, Denver Health was proud to sponsor Hike MS: Colorado at Winter Park Resort, hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Hundreds of passionate hikers came together to raise funds and awareness for multiple sclerosis.

With routes ranging from 2 to 9 miles, there was a trail for everyone, including many furry friends🐾, to join the movement to end MS. Together, we helped the National MS Society get closer to its $275,000 goal to support life-changing research and services for those affected by the disease.

💪 Huge thanks to everyone who hiked, volunteered and showed up in support of this cause, every step made a difference.

🧠 🩺 A New Kind of Care is Coming to Denver Health! This fall, we will open the doors to our Integrated Medical and Psychiatric (IMAP) Unit designed for adult patients with complex medical conditions and co-occurring behavioral health needs.

This 12-bed unit will create new job opportunities right here in our community, offering nursing professionals a unique chance to grow their skills in both medical and psychiatric care.

🎉 Today, Denver Health held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the radiology suite at our Lowry Family Health Center! The new suite is now the largest and most comprehensive among those in our 10 community health centers, offering on-site radiology services and improved access to care for patients in Denver’s east metro communities.

“No longer will patients need to travel across town for imaging. Now, they can do so closer to home.” CEO Donna Lynne said.

This milestone reflects Denver Health’s commitment to expanding access to exceptional care in the communities we serve. 💙

Special thanks to Congresswoman Diana DeGette for securing federal support to help make this project a reality.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last weekend for our second annual community mammography event! 💗

Denver Health Mobile Health Centers partnered with Grand Chapter of Colorado - OES Evergreen Chapter, Boyz to Brotherhood inc, Mt. Evans Lodge #7, Colorado Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation and other local organizations to provide breast cancer education, raise awareness and offer on-site screenings at Axum Park. Special thanks to Denver Health speakers Rosa Moran and Tiffany Romero for sharing powerful messages on the importance of early detection and access to care.

We’re proud to share that we completed twice as many screenings this year, an incredible step forward in bringing lifesaving care and early detection services directly to the communities we serve.

Congratulations to Denver Health Chief Paramedic Gary Bryskiewicz, who was recognized by the Colorado Rockies for his outstanding service before tonight's game at Coors Field. Chief Bryskiewicz, who has been with Denver Health Paramedics for 27 years, joined others from Denver-area agencies on the field who were celebrated as employees of the month. Denver Health paramedics provide medical services at all Rockies games, ensuring the health and safety of all players, ballpark staff and attendees.

🍄 A national study from Denver Health’s Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Safety (RMPDS) surveyed more than 2,100 adults who used psychedelics in the past year. Nearly 1 in 3 had traveled for the experience, and Colorado was the top destination.

RMPDS researchers Joshua Black, PhD, Kari Rockhill, PhD, MPH, Andrew Monte, MD, PhD and Richard Dart, MD found that many psychedelic travelers were seeking relief from certain mental health conditions or participating in healing ceremonies.

“People are crossing state lines not just to experiment, but to heal.” Rockhill said.❤️‍🩹
