Professional Case Management (PCM) is the nation’s premier homecare provider for nuclear weapons and uranium workers. Since 2001, PCM has been the leading provider of home health services to beneficiaries under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) and the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA). Our mission is to deliver quality care to enhance patient ou

tcomes in the privacy and comfort of their own homes. Committed to supporting nuclear weapons and uranium workers, we created Cold War Patriots (CWP), the leading community resource organization to advocate for these workers. PCM Trials is also a division of PCM, a service that provides in-home nursing services for clinical trials.

As we wrap up , we want to share our true appreciation for our nurses here at PCM.💙

Our Nurses: The Power Behind Care reflects the meaningful role nurses play through every interaction and across the entire care journey.

Meet PCM Nurse, LeoNard.

For LeoNard, nursing has always been about being there for people when they need it most. He was drawn to the profession by the impact he saw when clinical skill is paired with empathy.

This month may be coming to an end, but we appreciate the impact our nurses have every day of the year.

This year’s PCM theme, Our Nurses: The Power Behind Care, reflects the meaningful role nurses play through every interaction and across the entire care journey.

Meet PCM Nurse, David.

For David, nursing comes down to showing up and staying consistent. He values the time spent getting to know his patients, especially those later in life, and takes pride in helping them feel more at ease in their day-to-day routines. That steady presence is what keeps him committed to his work.

Thank you to David and to all our nurses, who are the true power behind care. 🌟

This , we recognize the lasting impact faced by nuclear weapons and uranium workers who encountered dangerous materials on the job—often without being told the full scope of potential long-term health consequences.

Brain cancer is included under the Special Exposure Cohort (SEC), a designation that assumes radiation exposure for certain workers at qualifying facilities. This presumption allows eligible individuals to seek medical coverage and compensation through the EEOICPA program without the burden of radiation dose reconstruction.

If you or someone you love worked in the nuclear weapons or uranium industry, support and benefits may be available. Learn more: https://tinyurl.com/msyf7apt

This year’s PCM theme is Our Nurses: The Power Behind Care, because we recognize the influence and impact nurses have in every interaction and throughout every step of the care journey.

Want to learn more about the difference PCM nurses make? Meet Frances.

For Frances, nursing is about doing the job well and treating people the right way. Whether she’s providing care or simply spending time with someone, her focus is always on supporting each client with respect, compassion, and genuine care—making sure they feel seen, heard, and valued.

During , we honor the nuclear weapons and uranium workers who were exposed to hazardous substances throughout their careers—often without being fully informed of the long-term health risks.

Bladder cancer is one of the illnesses covered under the Special Exposure Cohort (SEC). For eligible workers, this designation presumes radiation exposure at certain nuclear weapons facilities, allowing them to access federal medical benefits and compensation through EEOICPA, meaning you don’t need to go through the radiation dose reconstruction process.

If you or a family member worked in the nuclear or uranium industry, you may be eligible for benefits. Learn more here: https://tinyurl.com/msyf7apt

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Professional Case Management ❤️💐

Today, we honor all mothers who give their constant love, strength, and care to their children and to those around them. We especially recognize former nuclear weapons and uranium workers who are also mothers—women who so often put the needs of their families before their own.

Thank you for your resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication today and every day.

| Our Nurses: The Power Behind Care 🌟

Nurses are at the heart of every care experience—from supporting clients in their homes to guiding patients through research studies. Their work requires clinical expertise, compassion, and the ability to meet people where they are during moments that matter most.

This May, we’re proud to recognize and celebrate the incredible nurses across PCM. Their impact is felt every day in Home Care, where nurses provide consistent, thoughtful support that helps clients maintain quality of life in the comfort of home.

We look forward to celebrating our nurses all month long and thanking them for the difference they make—one interaction at a time. 💙

🌟Caregiver Spotlight: Richard Melendy🌟

Richard’s caregiving journey began when he helped care for his father, who lived with COPD and dementia. Through Cold War Patriots, he learned about PCM and became a family caregiver in 2019 for his father.

Drawn to the stories and wisdom of older adults, Richard later became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), even completing much of his training during the COVID-19 pandemic. He prides himself on going “above and beyond,” anticipating needs and making sure every client feels safe, respected, and cared for. One of his most meaningful moments was when his father, unable to speak, reached out and gently touched his arm—a quiet “thank you” he’ll never forget.

Today, Richard continues to bring compassion, patience, and positivity to every shift. We’re proud to celebrate his dedication to being a caregiver.
