One of our missions at Sharper Speech is to continuously develop our session plans around clients’ passions. In turn, our clients maintain engagement during therapy and strengthen their creativity skills while making progress towards social-communication goals. ✨ Our client Andy developed his own personalized rating scale and created a slideshow ranking various local Denville food establishments! We are so proud of him.

We had an ice cream luau party to say goodbye to the Spring Semester of Club Connect! ✨🌺 We’ve had so much fun over the past few months and have absolutely loved meeting new members & watching our Club Connect family foster new and existing friendships. So happy to be part of spearheading this awesome group- having connections with other siblings of individuals with I/DD is absolutely crucial, especially as we navigate our siblings transitioning into adulthood alongside us. 🤍 Our first Zoom meeting will be on Tuesday, May 27th at 7pm! Ready, set, RACE! ✨Club Connect had the best time on our Downtown Scavenger Hunt tonight! We got to visit some of our neighboring businesses by following a trail of hidden clues. Congrats to team Minecraft on your victory! 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃‍♂️What a beautiful and fun evening with friends!

🌍💙 Today is World Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day — a day to celebrate the incredible individuals on the autism spectrum and continue the conversation about inclusion, understanding, and acceptance.

Through my work, I’ve witnessed the joy that comes from building authentic relationships, advocating for oneself, and celebrating neurodiverse perspectives. Every speech therapy session and social event within the Sharper Speech community is a reminder of how powerful it is when we create spaces where autistic voices are heard and valued.

On this day, I encourage you to listen, learn, and amplify the voices of autistic individuals. Support inclusive businesses. Advocate for lifelong resources. Challenge stereotypes. And most importantly, celebrate the diverse and beautiful ways people experience the world.

To my twin brother Brian and all the amazing people I’ve met through Sharper Speech — thank you for teaching me what it means to communicate with courage and heart. The world is brighter because of you. 💙

Kicked off our Club Connect Spring Programming with COLOR WARS for our first social group! ❤️💛💙The teams competed in different games for a chance to help plan next month’s group activities! It was great to reconnect and meet new peers. Congrats to the BLUE team for winning! ✨
