Overcoming negative emotions

Today a very special woman, a successful Never Binge Again client of mine was moaning how many years she'd wasted with binge eating. I explained to her that there are a couple of ways to look at life after binging. One is to bemoan the years lost to Pig Slop. Your Pig would love you to focus on this because from the Pig’s perspective at least you are still thinking and talking about Pig Slop, and while you’re thinking of it, there’s a chance, that someday you will go get some. Lamenting the past will depress you and make it more likely the Pig can Squeal let’s go get some slop to make us feel better! The other way to think of it though is to look forward to spending the balance of your life without Slop. Create the amazing feelings and energy and peace of mind only possible without eating Pig Slop. You can actually develop a kind of superpower to which the rest of society is unconscious. When you follow your rules you have more energy, peace of mind, and ability to be 100 percent present to pursue your goals, relationships, and simply live your life to the fullest!? And so, see, you will make up for all you've lost in spades by simply living out the balance of your life with this superpower intact. You will truly be present for your life, and can accomplish amazing things and connect more deeply to others (and nature)… on a level most people never dream of! THIS is what YOU want to focus on when your PIG tells you to be so very sad about all the years you lost feeding it. So how about it. Life is a choice, suffering is optional.
