If your child has a tooth knocked out, find the tooth. Handle it by the crown, and rinse it if covered with dirt. Do not touch the root, or handle the tooth too much. If not damaged, gently reinsert it into the socket, and have your child hold it in place by biting down on soft gauze. Get to a dentist immediately.
