Hello!
‘Tis the season of sneezes and sniffles and I wanted to gently remind everyone about the importance of rescheduling your massage if you're not feeling your best.
I know you love massage and it’s such a bummer to miss an appointment, but please cancel/reschedule if you’re not feeling well. If you have a fever or believe you might be contagious, I must insist we reschedule.
While massage therapy can be incredibly beneficial, it can sometimes make symptoms worse. So, while relaxing in a quiet room sounds divine - it might not actually be the best path towards recovery.
Additionally, whenever I experience symptoms - ethically, I have to inform clients so they can decide whether or not they want to come in. If I have to cancel clients due to illness, it can result in a massive loss of income for the month. Please be considerate of how coming in sick might impact my business.
And please be aware that with my scheduled surgery on Friday, December 20th, it was advised to me by my surgeon to mask up all week to ensure I will be healthy for the procedure and I really MUST insist about rescheduling appointments for anyone who is sick. (I don't think sneezing and coughing will be comfortable with sutures in my abdomen.)
If you’re in doubt about whether or not you should cancel, please call/text/email me and we can figure it out together.
My policy around cancellations is to provide 24 hours notice to avoid fees. So please be mindful if you think you’re starting to come down with something and give me a heads up as soon as possible. If you are unable to give me 24 hours advance notice you will be charged 50% of your appointment fee for the first time and charged 100% of your appointment fee for late cancellations thereafter.
Prioritizing your health, my health, and the health of others, ensures that everyone can enjoy their sessions fully. I appreciate your understanding and hope we all stay healthy and happy for the holidays!
Warm regards,
Kelly Koestler LMT
