Chang E Full moon ritual is traditionally done on the first full moon following the lunar new year. She is an immortal moon goddess in Taoist and Esoteric Buddhist lineage streams, and considered to be the essence of the moon herself. Chang E & her moon bunnies impart the elixir of immortality, infusing perfume that is offered along with candle light, flowers, tea and a moon cake. One may offer dance, martial arts, qigong or other alchemical arts to honor her. We had a lot of fun offering songs and dance on this cold March night in Buffalo.
