Plainly stated, I noticed a concerning trend: since increasing my sliding scale range from $30-60 per session to $40-70 per session in November of 2023, I’ve seen a significant decrease in the number of clients able to access despite marketing efforts, who are not insured.
While I do receive an unmanageable amount of commercial insurance paying referrals…my passion is to help those at high risk.
So I am moving my sliding scale back to $30-60 for students & others uninsured to assure all people have access to expert level therapy! Not community based mental health therapy.
I only hold certain allotted slots for sliding scale but it’s pretty generous and currently not at max. Sliding scale sessions are 45 minute and always remote unless high risk situations.
My nephew will be marketing to this specific population but feel free to spread the word to those uninsured and lower income folks.
