Do you have one-sided pain at or near the spine? Are you trying to stretch it out and it’s not helping?
Tip = you may have to move towards the side of symptoms not away from the side of symptoms.

Positive feedback and reviews maintain the desire and drive to run this small business. This review hit on another level. It’s not just because this kid is a national champion, but also because he is an incredible person off the platform as well. I’m honored to keep his body physically prepped for his sport. A great moment of 2025 to get such positive feedback.

Tendinopathy is a fancy way of saying that a tendon’s tensile load tolerance is reduced and the tendon is irritated with the stresses placed on it. It most often happens from too much load over time. But it can also happen on the youth population due to growth spurts. This includes patellar tendinopathy, similar to Osgood-Schlatter Disease.
Early rehab is to start with isometric loading as early as possible with the right dosage. Working towards a hold of 45-60 seconds can help activate the full tendon as opposed to bypassing the unhealthy tissue.
Once tolerated, working from isometrics into more rapid contractions of the tendon starting in a shorter range and increasing to a more lengthened range has shown to be beneficial towards stressing the tendon to the tolerance of daily and athletic activities. Incorporating heavy slow resistance training on the tendon helps improve overall strength and tendon health. Dosage matters, so stimulating the tendon to a point of creating symptoms is okay, as long as the rules are followed. Continuing prolonged isometrics through the rehab process is critical to maintain activation of the full tendon to stimulate tenocyte activity in the pathological tissue.
Day 2 here: my guy has gone from painful squatting, split squats, and stairs to all being pain free. So loading has gone from bilateral isometrics to split stance isometrics and rapid loading in single leg positions. The goal is pain free weight training and stair negotiation while being in off-season from football.
Big change from day 1 to day 2.

Thank you to all my patients, clients, and supporters of me and my business in 2025. It was a great year helping people improve their pain, improve their function, and get back to the activities they desire. There were a lot of victories in 2025 and I look forward to 2026. My goal is to help people find the value in movement to improve their quality of life. It is my mission and I will continue to help others through the natural healing of exercise.

I can’t say results like this always occur in 1 visit. However, a thorough examination can lead to a specific individualized plan of care that can increase the likelihood of a quick change in symptoms and ability to move, and improve quality of life.

Back pain, hip pain, and leg pain can have many different presentations. It can also change as treatment changes. I don’t prescribe treatment unless I asses the patient. I also re-assess each patient every visit. Things change. I don’t assume, I let the assessment process inform me on what to do. Does your provider do the same?

One thing I have learned as a small business owner is to develop relationships with like-minded people and foster those relationships. Support those that support you. That applies to those in the same sphere, and different spheres from your business.

I needed a place to set up shop for the day, and was so kind to share her space. She’s always a supporter of others. She gets it as a small business owner.

Always grateful for the people in my corner.
