I struggled at the Air Force Academy. However, I am ever so happy to have met some of the great minds of our times and because of our common bonds and Facebook, we still communicate. Here is what one of my Zoomie colleagues said about the debate:
Last night's debate created two distinct problems. One is political and the other is much more serious.
1. In 2020, part of the Dem strategy was to eliminate, as far as possible voting on election day. The twin results were that it is much easier to cheat when you don't have to present yourself at the polling station. Also, because many people voted early, their votes were already cast before late breaking information becomes available. Biden's implosion could cause some early voters to change from D to R which dulls this advantage. (My add to this result is that it also cuts down on Election Day lines. 👍)
2. Rogue states watch the news just like we do. Putin, China, North Korea, and Iran may decide that the need to grab what they can while the POTUS is so weak that they could likely . get away with it. After Trump is sworn in, they have to deal with a completely different calculus. (My add: Ds must entertain changing their candidate or we will see international fireworks within the next four months. The world order is more volatile than the Cuban Missile Crisis. Perhaps more volatile than at anytime since WWII.)
