Still not sure about what group drumming or a sound bath is and how it might be helpful to you (especially if highly stressed)?
In a drum circle, repetitive rhythms can induce a meditative, trance-like state that shifts brainwave activity and help to relieve tension and relax the nervous system. It also boosts connection through conversation, laughter and camaraderie. Think Native American and Shamanic storytelling that aligns with drum beats provided by Tom of Sacred Tree Drumming. No prior experience needed—drums are provided, but feel free to bring your own. If you've recently acquired a new drum, a blessing ceremony will be offered.
In a sound bath, you can sit or lie down, where you'll be "bathed" in sound vibrations from instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes and Tibetan bowls provided by Sarah of SLH Yoga & Wellness. A sound bath helps to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promotes deep rest, supports emotional relief and may help balance energy centers (i.e. the chakras).
Tom and Sarah will start in sound together, then Tom will focus on the group drumming and Sarah will close with a sound bath.
