We had an unforgettable time at our Senior Open House at the In-Home Angels Adult Day Center in Derby last summer!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us. Your energy and presence made the day so special!

And the best part? These kinds of moments can happen every week!

🕒 We’re open Monday through Friday 9am-4pm, (half days only in the afternoon are allowed) the Center offers engaging activities, warm companionship, and a safe, supportive space for seniors to thrive.

Our Sales & Marketing Manager, Megan, shared her personal journey—how she found In-Home Angels, and why this work means so much to her. As a stage 4 cancer survivor, Megan understands firsthand what it’s like to lose independence and fight to regain it, step by step. It’s this perspective that fuels our mission every day.

⭐️ In addition as of last week Megan is Offically 2 years Cancer💚 Free!!!!!! ⭐️

Megan also spoke about the importance of self-care for caregivers and recognizing the signs of caregiver burnout—something our team is deeply passionate about supporting.

We’re still glowing from one of our unforgettable Staff Appreciation Dinner at Casa Nova in Shelton a few years ago! 💙✨

It was an evening filled with laughter, connection, and most importantly—gratitude. At In-Home Angels, we believe in celebrating the heart of our mission: our dedicated caregivers and staff who go above and beyond every day.

From heartfelt conversations to delicious food and shared smiles, this night reminded us just how lucky we are to be surrounded by such an incredible team.

Earlier this month at our Valley Business Network meeting, we were inspired by Dan L’Altrella of Guild Mortgage, who shared his powerful journey of growth, resilience, and success.

Dan spent two years learning the mortgage business alongside his incredible mom—who’s still thriving in the industry at 70! 💪 His story reminded us a lot of our own founder, Jobeth Foley, who built In-Home Angels from her own challenges and passion to serve others.

Dan, thank you for reminding us that with heart, hard work, and the right support, anything is possible. 💙

Our Care Coordinator/Scheduling Manager Stephanie and our new Senior Director Maribel had a wonderful time attending the 2nd Annual Senior Citizens Summer Expo hosted by the Jewish Federation of Western CT in Southbury!

It was a fantastic day filled with valuable resources, heartfelt conversations, and new connections within the senior community. We’re so grateful to be part of events that celebrate and support older adults in our region. 💙

This week we had the opportunity to celebrate not one, but TWO Birthdays for our staff !!!!! Our Scheduling/Care Coordinator Stephanie Canapari and our New Senior Director Maribel, Garcia-Winters! (You’ll get to know her very soon!) We want to wish the both of you a Happy Birthday!!! We hope this year brings you nothing but Joy, Good Health and wonderful memories! 🥳🎉💗

We had a TEE-rific time earlier this week! 🏌️‍♀️⛳️

The Greater Valley Chamber Golf Classic at RaceBrook Country Club was full of sunshine, swings, and smiles! We loved catching up with some of our favorites—Laura Gorman from the Chamber, Stephen Schwartz from Express Empolyment Professionals, Ramon & Maggie from Peralta Design, and Greg Geaski from ServPro! 💙

Even better? We made a whole bunch of new friends along the way! From fairways to friendships—it was a hole-in-one kind of day! 🌞🏌️‍♂️

WHO: Meet Gene Vegas Wiggins Jr. – one of our incredible caregivers at In-Home Angels! 🙌

WHAT: A dedicated caregiver who wholeheartedly believes in punctuality and shows up every day with purpose and passion. ⏰❤️

WHEN: Gene officially joined the In-Home Angels family on August 17, 2022 — and we’ve been better ever since! 🕊️

WHERE: Mr. Wiggins is located in Prospect, CT but brings smiles wherever he goes! 😊🏡

WHY:
“I love my job at In-Home Angels because my clients inspire me to strive for EXCELLENCE. Being raised in a home full of wisdom by my great-grandmother (who lived to be 106!), I’ve learned the importance of caring for our elders with love, dignity, and patience. I truly enjoy doing what God gave me the heart to do... What can I say?

Spooner House Showdown Recap! 🥄
Last month, the Valley Business Network and fellow Chamber groups joined forces in a friendly face-off with Seeds to Leads — all for a great cause! 💪

We competed to see who could donate the most non-perishable food items or raise the most funds for Spooner House, a vital organization in Shelton, CT dedicated to helping individuals and families in need achieve self-sufficiency through shelter, food, and support services. ❤️

While the competition was fun, the real win was coming together to make a meaningful impact in our community. Thank you to everyone who donated and participated — your generosity makes a difference!
