Our assisted living community offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that allows residents to relax and enjoy every day. We strive to provide all the amenities of home to make them feel comfortable and at home. Residents receive professional health care and personalized assistance as needed and are given access to individualized, around-the-clock care provided by a professional staff.

🌈☘️🌟We are LUCKY to celebrate multiple work anniversaries this month!🌈☘️🌟

Kicking off staff work anniversaries; March 1st we celebrated our dietary supervisor 8- year anniversary. Cody G is a professional uncle with 2 nephews, 4 nieces, and one great nephew. He is a car enthusiast and likes to spend his money tuning his Subaru WRX. We thank Cody for ensuring that the dietary needs are met and operations run smoothly.

March 12th. Aziz K celebrated 7-years of service. Aziz is our certified medication aide that has over 20 years of experience working in healthcare, specifically with the senior population. You can catch Aziz spreading joy throughout the community with positivity and a caring heart. We love to hear about his childhood and growing up in Kenya.

Amber C, 3rd year anniversary was March 13th. She is our resident care coordinator and one adult daughter and son who graduates from high school this May. She is also very excited to welcome her first grandbaby in June. Amber has been married to her husband over 20 years. Amber comes to us from a home health background, specifically with medically complex children. In addition to working in home health filed, she worked for the Sedgwick County Health Department as the vaccination nurse.

Elise P also celebrated her 3-year anniversary on March 13th. Elise began working in healthcare as a hospitality aide along with adults that have disabilities. She took on more responsibility and worked towards furthering her education to become a certified medication aide. There is no job too big or small for Elise to work on. She jumps right in if there is a need and she can fulfill it. Her son, Liam, is also a hard worker and loves coming to Homestead to ‘work’ and visit all our residents. We love and enjoy when Liam comes into hangout!

Trena K is our activities director but serves multiple roles. She is our licensed beautician that ensures the residents are felling and looking their very best. She decorates the community each month, so we all have amazing decorations to look at. She is and committed to helping in any role possible. While she started began in 2018 in the beauty shop, start did not officially start on our payroll until 2020 with COVID-19 closing all non-essential businesses as a hospitality aide. Once the world reopened, she finished out her lease with the shop and finally returned to us fulltime in 2022 as the activity’s director.

Finally, Wayne B, celebrates 15-year work anniversary on March 21st. Wayne has extensive experience working in long term care. With that knowledge, he is the calm quiet soldier that you want when there is an emergency. He is swift to act and takes on whatever the emergency or problem is. He works incredibly hard and does so much for us behind the scenes that you would never know. Fun fact, Wayne is from the island of Barbados, where the singer Rhianna grew up.

Hannah is a first-time mom to a sweet baby boy! 💙 Originally from Florida, she has been working as a CMA/CNA for 11 years. She celebrated her birthday on February 26th. 🎉

Katelyn is happily married and has served in several healthcare roles, including phlebotomist, medical assistant, and now CNA. Her goal is to become a nurse! She celebrated her birthday on February 20th. 🎂

Please help us wish these wonderful ladies a very happy birthday! 🥳💛

January has come to a close, and with it, we hope the freezing temperatures, snow, and ice have as well. ❄️☃️ Please help us wish Aziz and Shina a very happy belated birthday. They are loyal, hardworking, and cherished members of our team. Aziz K celebrated his birthday on January 1st, and Shina K celebrated hers on January 2nd. We are also celebrating 11 years of service for our Director and leader, Denise, on January 8th.

We hosted our first annual Senior Prom on Saturday. Our theme for 2025 was Under the Sea! Special thank you to Otis from JST Therapy Solutions for keeping the music on-point and the dance floor hot!! 🌊🐠🐟
