but it actually affects how your brain processes sound.

Research shows it’s one of the biggest modifiable risk factors for dementia.

The good news? It’s something we can treat.

You have hearing aids… but you’re still struggling.

I see this all the time.

A lot of people are told, “you just need to get used to them”
…but that’s not always the case.

Sometimes:
• They weren’t programmed correctly to your hearing
• They weren’t verified with real ear measurements (REM)
• Or they’re simply set too low

And that’s why you might feel like:
“I can hear… but I still can’t understand what people are saying.”

The good news?
Most of these things can be adjusted.

If something doesn’t feel right, it’s worth having someone take another look.
