We’d like to take a moment to recognize our March honorees- better late than never and certainly well deserved.

Our employee of the month, Makayla, is one of our newest team members, who has already made a lasting impression. She has an outgoing spirit and a genuine desire to connect. Her positive energy and willingness to jump in wherever needed, have not gone unnoticed. 

Our resident of the month, Ms. Javier, is someone who brings personality and joy to our community every day. Known for her love of cats, her ever-evolving wardrobe, and her dedication to bingo, she adds a special spark to life here.

Today we want to recognize someone whose work often happens quietly, but whose impact is felt by every resident and family we serve—our Social Services Director, Julie.

Julie is the steady presence behind the scenes, making sure our residents feel heard, supported, and cared for. She advocates, listens, comforts, and guides—often during some of life’s most difficult transitions.

Whether she’s helping a family navigate decisions, supporting a resident through change, or simply taking the time to sit and truly listen, Julie brings compassion and dignity into every interaction.

Resident of the Month- Felicia Williams

Congratulations to our February Resident of the Month, Felicia! Felicia brings such positive energy to our community and is always eager to participate. She enjoys staying active in group activites, especially Bingo, and loves getting involved in crafts and special projects for staff appreciation and resident recognitions. Her enthusiasm and kindness make a difference each day, and we are so grateful to celebrate her this month!

Employee of the Month

Cassandra Naquin- Cassie has been selected as Deridder Retirement’s February employee of the month for her unwavering dependability, compassionate care, and strong team spirit. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her residents receive not only excellent clinical care, but also the extra time and attention that make them feel valued and respected. Cassie is always willing to lend a helping hand to her coworkers, supports her team during busy shifts, and contributes to a positive, collaborative work environment. She takes pride in her work and makes certain each resident knows they matter. Her dedication, kindness, and teamwork make her a true asset to our facility and the residents we serve!

Department Head of the Month

This month, DeRidder Retirement & Rehab would like to recognize our Buisness Office Manager, Brandi Lambert. Ms. Brandi has continuously gone above and beyond to make sure our residents get the care they deserve. This includes assisting other departments when needed, decorating floats for the Beauregard Parish Fair Parade, decorating the facility inside and out, and making sure those timesheets are turned in! During her spare time at work, which is rare, you can always find Brandi engaging with our residents or sharing a laugh with our Social Services Director. A little bit about Brandi. She has the biggest heart when it comes to animals and shares this passion with our residents. Brandi loves to sew, Japanese food, and Nerds Gummy Clusters. The facility and residents see your dedication and value the compassion you show! You are valued and appreciated by the facility and all of our residents, who call you family!
