We always have a great time spending time together we forget to snap the photo.
Always so grateful for the staff at El Flamingo DeRidder when we stop in for lunch. They always are so accommodating & helpful. Our residents love you guys! ( && the food isn’t half bad either 😉)

Biggest thank you to Catoria Turner & Chris for taking the time to stop by and visit with us today.
The residents enjoyed the visit and invitation to an upcoming outdoor event for the children in Deridder they are putting on next month at Veteran Park.
Huge thank you for the generous donation towards our bingo game today!

We had the best time laughing & reminiscing during art class this week. We experimented with air dry clay for the first time making dinosaurs, cats, dogs pumpkins & octopus. Of course being in Deridder we had to make us a Deridder Dragon! Super fun activity laughing at how silly everything looked as it changed shape as it dried.

What a night! Always a great time when our volunteers come to set up a special event for our residents🎲🎰 Our Casino Night was full of excitement with Roulette, Blackjack, and Texas Hold’em! We enjoyed a facility wide raffle & custom scratch offs for our prize baskets! Thank you to everyone who came out to play, laugh, and make memories with us. 🃏💵 Until next time—keep your poker face sharp!l

Getting our soap making practice in early to prep for our facilities Fall Festival this year!

Very excited to set up a booth with hand made soaps from our favorite residents.

Some structure improvements were suggested (we got to talk about how moving our cup would increase our odds of winning) but overall our Catapult game was a success!!

We can’t wait to go make adjustments && move this catapult game outside!!

Happy National Chocoolate Chip Cookie day!! We had so many Residents excited to get in on tastings that we forgot to get pictures of each type of cookie! Thankfully someone remembered towards the end so we at least have something to remember today!

We celebrated by tasting 9 different chocolate chip cookie variations.

Reese’s Chocolate Chip Soft cookies won by a landslide.

Even our mobile cookie cart tasting most picked cookie was the Reeces Peanut Butter chocolate chip!!

So blessed to be able to share a special day with special people.

Loving that today’s dream catcher art went so many different directions ❤️ some made bracelets, some made dream catchers and some just reminisced with us. Some just took the items on the table and created whatever came to mind.

Sometimes a change of plans is just what we needed.
