Congratulations to our monthly DAISY Award recipient, Emily Brewer, RN, ICU! A patient who submitted a nomination for Emily shared the following:
“I am writing to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional care from one of the nurses, Emily. During my recent hospital stay I had the privilege of being under Emily’s care for several days. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. Her kindness, professionalism and dedication made a lasting impression on my recovery and overall experience. From the moment I met Emily, her cheerful demeanor and warm presence made me feel at ease. She took the time to answer my questions with a level of knowledge that was easy to understand. Her ability to break out medical information into clear and reassuring messages was invaluable to me. What set Emily apart was her ability to make me feel that I was the most important patient in the hospital. She treated me with such care and attentiveness. I always felt heard and validated. Her empathy and understanding were evident during every interaction. Emily’s dedication to patient care is truly remarkable. Competency, attentiveness and depth of knowledge reflect the highest standard of nursing excellence. I am incredibly grateful for everything she did to support me during my stay.
