The practices I’ve done for 5 years since a functional dietitian taught me my stress response was at the root of my symptoms‼️

IMPORTANT NOTE: it was NOT the stress of my life that was the problem, but how my body viewed it that was the problem - stressors like fitness, career and relationships are how we learn lessons and become our highest selves babes!!!!

3 things my acne clients learn from their labs

*there are many more things*

1. Early on we learn about if inflammation is a major driver for them. This determines a lot of our next steps with lifestyle and other potential root causes to look at.

2. Iron issues. While low iron is common, I also have seen high iron causing a lot of oxidative stress.

3. Calcium shell in their HTMA is a major pattern I’m looking for indicating the body is so stressed, it’s numbing itself by releasing calcium from tissues and bones. (this is bad)

Many clients who align with my coaching have done alll the lifestyle things, all the therapy and all the topicals for acne. They are ready for a deeper level of intention & data with functional nutrition 👀

As a lifelong athlete who hung up the team sports after college and moved into consistent hybrid training (lifting focused with a mix of cardio & yoga) I’ve seen my body shift from amenorrhea (period every 3-4 months & post birth control raging acne to more regulated than ever before

Athletes face unique detox and nutritional demands, due to increased strain and cortisol production, often struggling with:
- RED-S: not eating enough ➡️ stressing the gut & thyroid & menstrual cycles)
- increased utilization of micronutrients
- increased somatic stress from comparison, perfectionism & performance anxiety

Athletes can get mentally strong while still facing challenges physiologically due to lack of functional testing awareness. Labs like GI-map, iodine and even hs-CRP are not covered by insurance, so they are not widely offered to athletes to help detect these common root causes.

If you’re training like an athlete and experiencing chronic skin or period challenges, then these root causes may be contributing. It’s not normal!!!

For a long time I didn’t want to use the words, “hot” or “sexy” in my content. I avoided pointing out women’s pain like the plague because I was so insecure myself. Why would I point out the very pain I was in the midst of. I do whole-heartedly believe I am here to provide value and service to the world, but I’ve realized that value isn’t just through recipes and reciting research. It’s through shifting the beliefs we as women are gripping onto so hard. Beliefs around beauty, body, fitness and food.

I’ve worked with hundreds of women now at this point. Some for a while, some for a short time.

Years of shedding. Investing. Rewiring. If you’re wondering if it ever feels exhausting, yes honestly it does. But so does staying stuck.

And I can honestly say, having the goal to be “hotter” is now something I’m super comfortable to say I have. And you can have it too.

Because to me being hot is not just a look, it’s an energy.
The hottest people I know trust in the higher power.
They know their skillset, their inherent worth and their vibrancy for life can’t easily be taken. Life might knock them around, but they’ll persevere.

So give yourself a healthy dose of discipline and an equally healthy dose of freedom, flow and fun.

Let go of the fear of being too much, the numbing, the conditioning and you’ll be more alive than you’ve felt in a while. Maybe at 6:30 am doing a workout or at 2 pm working on a hard project or at 8 pm in full glam with a Diet Coke.
