🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: 𝗔𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀 🌟

This week, we’re honored to spotlight 𝗔𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀, an Independent Living resident at Luther Park Apartments, who will be 𝟵𝟯 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿!🎉 Arlene has been a valued member of our community for nearly 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.

Longevity clearly runs in Arlene’s family—her 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁-𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝟭𝟭𝟯 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱! Arlene has always been very active, and even after undergoing major back surgery five years ago, she focused on recovery by doing what she believes in most: 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲

Today, Arlene walks a mile each day, enjoys getting out of her apartment, and makes it a priority to 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Arlene shared that she decided to transition to senior living rather than caring for her daughter and son-in-law's large home on her own, she chose a community that better fit her lifestyle. After touring eight different options, Arlene selected 𝗟𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗔𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 because of the affordable rent and because she truly liked the apartment itself.

One thing Arlene especially appreciates is the 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, while also having peace of mind knowing that assistance is available should she ever need it down the road.

What does Arlene enjoy most about life at LPA?

- “The office staff are so pleasant here.”
- “The lunches are good and inexpensive.”
- "Helping with BINGO, playing cards, and attending the ‘Our Church’ service on Saturdays."

Arlene also gives back in meaningful ways. She serves on our Advisory Board and helps with inventory for the convenience store on Fridays—a true example of community spirit 💙.

For anyone thinking about making the move to Luther Park Apartments, Arlene puts it simply:

“𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁.”

✨ January Staff Spotlight ✨

Ida: EVS Supervisor

Ida has worked for Luther Park for 5 years. Her favorite part about working here has been the residents and all her coworkers.

Outside of work she loves to go to thrift stores and yard sales when weather is nice. She also looks forward to her every other Sunday dinners with her kids.

Thank you Ida for keeping our whole campus clean and up to standards. EVS is a huge part of keeping our building running. If you see her around make sure to stop and say hi 👋
