Dr. Alex Van Wyk is a Des Moines Chiropractic Physician and Diplomate in Acupuncture with more than 30 years experience in alternative health care. He is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and has completed extensive postgraduate training in acupuncture and nutrition. Dr. Van Wyk has been serving the Des Moines area for over 25 years. Dr. Van Wyk is nationally board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Born and raised in central Iowa, he holds true to Midwestern values. He is a third generation chiropractic physician, following his father and great uncle in the chiropractic profession. Hello Facebook fans! Dr. Alex, Sharon, and Savanna recently participated in the Hillbilly Hike race weekend. The Gruebel 5k is a fundraiser for 3 children who tragically lost their parents. What a wonderful way to show support for those who have been through difficult times. We did some carb loading at the end with sausage gravy and biscuits along with home made pie. Sooooo good!! 😁

Hello everyone and welcome to fall race season! Dr. Alex participated in Des Moines Marathon weekend and placed 8th in his age division for the 5k race. Race proceeds go to the Children's Cancer Connection which supports children and families as they journey through cancer treatment. What an awesome charity!

Dr. Alex recently celebrated 40 years in practice by attending the Palmer College of Chiropractic Special Event entitled "Legends Unite".

He reconnected with old friends and made some new ones, including one doctor celebrating 70 years in practice; an example for the rest of us. 🙂

This three day gathering brought over 700 doctors of chiropractic together to share their wisdom and experience. They discussed how chiropractic has grown in popularity. Our vision for the future and a commitment to improving the health of our nation.
