Leaders who joined WesleyLife recently were welcomed yesterday to new-leader orientation, beginning with a friendly round of introductions at our headquarters in Johnston — followed by a photo call, of course! WesleyLife's hydroponic greens will be front and center at the 2025 Iowa State Fair! During a demonstration in the Maytag Family Food Center on Monday, Chef Aaron Holt of the Story City-based Doolittle Farm will feature greens (and possibly edible flowers!) grown in the hydroponic farm on the WesleyLife Meals on Wheels campus. (Our vice president of philanthropy, Sophia S. Ahmad, shows off some of our beautiful, healthy greens in the photo above!)

During the presentation, the Meals on Wheels team also will share the ways WesleyLife enhances the health and well-being of older adults and military veterans in central Iowa with the delivery of healthy meals and well-being checks.

The demonstration will begin at 1 p.m. Monday and is open to all. Please join us at the fair!
