Dr Tekeste is a compassionate, highly skilled optometrist who truly cares about his patients, and takes great pride in his work. He graduated form the prestigious State University of New York college of Optometry (New York, NY) in 2002 (with internship at the Brooklyn VA Hospital and Travis Air Force Hospital). He completed his undergraduate work in Biochemistry at the University of New York in Buffalo, where he received presidential honor with the highest distinction and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Tekeste served as a USARMY Eye Doctor (2002-2005) in various parts of the world with a diversified patient population, and was an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the Pacific University college of Optometry. After his ARMY service, he worked as the Chief of Optometry Services at the Bangor Naval Health Clinic in Washington. Dr Tekeste has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating significant cases of ocular diseases, emergency medical eye care, handling difficult contact lens fitting (such as keratoconus and irregular corneas after corneal trauma), co-managing cataract and laser eye surgeries and hypertension & diabetic eye exams. He takes great pride for his roll in early detecting and vision training of children to reduce their learning difficulties. He is a strong advocate of preventive health, educating and empowering patients to control their general health quality early.

We have a promotion starting next week for patients who do not have any vision insurance! Normaly our routine eye exams are $190, they will be 50% off for the next couple weeks for only $95! That even includes a dialated exam as well as a diabetic exam. Get in while you can! :)
