Bare Metal Standard - Des Moines operates as a division of General Fire & Safety Equip Co in Des Moi Let us show you the Bare Metal difference.

Bare Metal Standard offers services whereby the hazardous grease buildup in a commercial cooking operation (restaurants) is removed by a process that brings the exhaust system to a fire safe condition. Our patent pending technologically advanced process insures that all portions of the hood, the duct work and the rooftop fan unit has the built up grease removed. This is not to be confused with janitorial services as this process is a fire code compliant service that must be done. Our equipment has the ability to pull itself through the duct work whether horizontal or vertical with no access points cut out in the hood/duct. We do not "polish the hood" so that from the outside it looks clean and safe. Bare Metal will remove the grease from the exhaust system so that it is fire safe.

How does your kitchen exhaust system look? There should be NO grease anywhere in your system after your service company is there to remove the grease (called “hood cleaning”) or do they just “shine the hood” that you can see. A recent fire at the Popeyes in Ankeny Iowa is under investigation for a fire in their kitchen at 1am.
