Company Description
The Athletic Training Room, LLC in Ankeny, IA, is dedicated to providing sports medicine services to athletes of all ages and ability levels. We provide athletic trainers for local high schools, youth sporting events, and large athletic events in central Iowa. We also provide direct patient care in our clinic in Ankeny, with an emphasis on injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention. This is a small business owned and operated by athletic trainers.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Athletic Trainer at The Athletic Training Room, LLC in Ankeny, IA. This position will be primarily for a local high school, with the rest of the time spent working remote or in the clinic to build up a client base. In the high school setting, you will be responsible for game and practice coverage, as well as injury prevention, evaluation and treatment for the student-athletes. In the clinic, you will develop personalized injury prevention programs, corrective exercise programs, and injury treatment plans. This athletic training position will also be responsible for a semi-professional soccer team in Des Moines. There is flexibility with this position, and the role can be adapted to your strengths as an athletic trainer.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Athletic Training
BOC certified Athletic Trainer
License to practice in the state of Iowa
CPR/AED certification
Experience in developing and implementing rehabilitation programs
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
