Crest Services supports adults with disabilities in our residential programs through HCBS, and your kindness directly enriches the lives of the people we serve.

Training Matters at Crest Services!

At Crest Services, we believe that quality care starts with well-trained staff. Our new employees receive comprehensive training to ensure the safety and well-being of those we serve.

Medication Administration is a critical part of this process. Pictured left to right: Raneka Sanders, Team Lead in our Des Moines community, and new Direct Support Professionals Mercy and Jodi practicing medication passes with training medications.

This hands-on practice is just the beginning! Each DSP completes:
✅ 3 hours of Pre-course training on Medication Administration (in-person class)
✅ 8 hours of Medication Support courses through the College of Direct Support
✅ A minimum of two in-class training passes before administering medications independently
✅ A minimum of six in-field training passes before administering medications independently

And for staff who administer Schedule II medications, we go the extra mile by covering the cost of their Medication Manager license through a local community college. Because at Crest Services, training isn’t optional—it’s essential. 💙
