The Iowa Guitar Quartet will be performing Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto Andaluz this coming Sunday afternoon with the Des Moines Community Orchestra. The concert is free to attend.

We will be performing Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto Andaluz with the Des Moines Community Orchestra this coming Sunday (Mother’s Day) at Drake University. Admission is free. Hope to see you there!

If you enjoy Brazilian music, The Cave DSM will be hosting a free clinic tomorrow afternoon featuring 7-string guitarist Marcello Gonçalves.

We are thrilled to partner with Civic Music Association (CMA) to host a FREE music clinic by Anat Cohen & Marcello Gonçalves on Friday, 4/5 at 3pm.

We’ve been big fans of both of these artists for a long time, and our choro group will play a few songs. This will be fun.

“Anat Cohen & Marcello Gonçalves, whose album Outra Coisa: The Music of Moacir Santos was nominated for Best Latin Jazz Album at the 2017 Grammy’s. Anat Cohen was voted “Clarinetist of the Year” every year from 2008 to 2021 by the Jazz Journalists Association. Marcello Gonçalves is a seven-string guitarist, music director, and producer from Brazil who has worked with legends like João Bosco and Chico Buarque.”
