Here over at River Woods, we have some fantastic model pieces on display in our beutiful wooden curio cabinet. There are a few old model hearses to show the past ways we used to transport loved ones, as well as some artifact remakes from Ancient Egypt. These figurines are great representation of funeral history, and add a wonderful touch while you and your loved ones are visiting the funeral home.

Our Funeral Director and Embalmer, Jacob, loves to make things personal for his families. He hand makes these boutonnieres for the pallbearers, and usually one for the decedent as well depending on family/directors preference. The staff here at River Woods will clean the stems, cut them, use floral tape for a cleaner look, and push the pin through, for an elegant and classic look for celebrating the life of your loved one.

Our apprentice and soon to be director, Kayla, can be seen here showing off our sharp Pickering Sangria casket.
The Pickering Sangria is a veneer wooden casket that is commonly selected by families due to the simplicity of the hardware and handlebars, as well as the soft white crepe interior that beautifully compliments the stain of the wood on both models available. The Pickering style is not only available in the Sangria finish, but a Walnut finish as well.
Another reason that families are purchasing our Pickering style casket is the price. It is one of our more middle-ground cost caskets that we have available for purchase at the funeral home.
