The Holiday Heroes The mission of Holiday Heroes is to provide joy and improved quality of life to pediatric patients through a combination of in-person and virtual programs.

Holiday Heroes uses its experience, creativity, resources, and passion to inspire long-lasting joy and happy memories for pediatric patients and their families, thereby making a positive impact in their recoveries and their lives.

Our amazing Child Life Specialist students teamed up with everyone’s favorite friendly neighborhood hero, Spiderman, to bring joy, laughter, and a little superhero magic to pediatric patients in the hospital. From high-fives to heroic hugs, these moments remind us that even on the toughest days, courage and joy can shine through.

Shout-out to MARK AND SARAH!❤️ This awesome father-daughter duo has been volunteering with us for years as packing party volunteers with the White Sox Volunteer Corps. Mark explains that the work is even more meaningful to him since they get to serve together and support children and families in the community. Mark says, “Others should get involved because Holiday Heroes makes it easy to see the impact of service. You are not just packing items in a bag- you are sending comfort, encouragement, and a reminder to families that they are not alone.” We are so grateful for families like yours that work together to spread joy ❤️

Shout out to TIFFANY!❤️ Tiffany has been volunteering with us since 2024, at all types of special events like packing parties, fundraisers, and hospitals parties. “My favorite part is actually assisting people with assembling the bags together for the children and working with Holiday Heroes staff - who are all great things, but especially kind. Holiday Heroes loves these children and show them someone out there cares for them and they are never forgotten.” Thank you for your bright spirit and endless help, Tiffany!

Shout out to FEI!❤️ Fei has been volunteering at hospital parties since 2023, and loves guiding patients through the hands-on crafts. She also is the president of the Art for Hope Foundation - coordinating volunteers to create unique craft kits that are included in each and every Holiday Heroes craft box. Fei says, “Seeing the patients big smiles during every visit is truly what keeps me going!” We are so grateful for all you do for us, Fei!
