Mental Health Day!

Refers to a person’s emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It influences how people think, feel, and behave in daily life. It also affects how they handle stress, relate to others, and make decisions.

Good mental health allows individuals to cope with life’s challenges, work productively, and contribute to their communities.

Promoting good mental health involves self-care, maintaining positive relationships, seeking professional support when needed, and balancing work, rest, and leisure activities.

The photo below represents one of my favorite activities that I implement during different training sessions where strangers can wear other shoes to experience different perspectives on life.

So thankful to see how the Voyant Beauty community engagement committe PC plant - Middlebury Street came together to organize a food drive and donate nearly 1000 pounds of non-perishable food for Salvation Army’s pantry in the month of August. Thank you all the employees who contributed to this cause. Meijer who donated the bags and Salvation Army for letting us participate of this amazing initiative.

Estas ultimas dos semanas hemos estado emocionados por tantas cosas lindas que están pasando. Mi aventura en el torneo de Basketball terminó en semifinales muy orgulloso del esfuerzo de todos y emocionados por el que viene. Ejercito de Salvación, mil gracias a todos los compañeros de Voyant Beauty que de una u otra manera contribuyeron para que esta navidad sea diferente para algunas familias de Elkhart y Goshen, tuvimos un gran tiempo con Christa de Texas en Wellfield Botanic Gardens realmente la pasamos genial, Darcy, Gael y yo terminamos las fotos para nuestros familiares y amigos y también compartimos la familia Beinz. Jade y Mitch nos visitaron de Oregon y tuvimos un gran tiempo con la familia completa en Chicago.

I want to thank Ellen Brown, MBA, MPSY for inviting me to her class to share my personal and professional experiences with students at Indiana University South Bend

We talked about how from the field of human resources and learning and development, Voyant Beauty Elkhart team finds tools that can be used for workforce development in the region.

The activity we discussed was about how recognizing and accepting different personalities can better help a team to be more resilient. It was great to see the students engaged and excited to learn.

IUSB students have the opportunity to study abroad in different countries around the world; Costa Rica has recently received some groups. They also celebrated International Education Week!

Voyant Beauty Elkhart Team had the honor to participate in the 9th Annual National Apprenticeship Week as a guest speaker with several state and regional workforce development & postsecondary education organizations. Vince Brenner, Symon Olenczuck and I had the opportunity to talk about how Registered Apprenticeship with the Department of Labor has worked for Voyant Beauty as a workforce strategy.

We were honored to invite Barbara Cowles to present to our leaders the “5 Pillars of Employee Wellbeing” as part of our partnership.

Well-being refers to the state of being healthy, happy, and content in various aspects of life.

- Relationship
- Financial
- Physical and Mental
- Community

Achieving balance among these various components is essential for a fulfilling and good environment.

As leaders we are happy to continue cascading this kind of messages to the workforce.
