Nostalgia loading… ✨

Looking back, it makes so much sense that I’m still obsessed with books full of magic, heart, and a little bit of chaos. I’ve always been drawn to magical realism I guess- the kind of stories where everyday life feels just a little enchanted

And let’s be real… growing up on The Baby-Sitters Club probably shaped who I became as an adult because yup here I am at 47, still living that babysitter life as a nanny ♥️ Its quite possible that those books planted the seed long before I even realized it

Happy World Book Day 📚✨

Obviously I’m obsessed with books and reading- getting lost in a story & finding pieces of yourself in characters, traveling to places you’ve never been, and feeling emotions you didn’t expect. Books have a profound way of changing us, one page at a time.

I have a standing date in my calendar every year with to hit up our local Indies bookstores & it’s that time of year again!!

Independent Bookstore Day is next Saturday- April 25th-and is there a better excuse to wander through shelves, discover hidden gems, and support the heart of our local book community?

If you’re local to Central Oregon, make sure to stop by , , and - each one brings its own unique charm and stories waiting to be found ♥️

I’m already planning to spend way too long browsing and probably leaving with more books than I intended (no regrets 😌)

There’s just something about stumbling across a little free library tucked into a neighborhood 💛📚

I’m actually making this post because I walked home from work yesterday and stumbled across four of them….four!! It felt like the universe was just lining up little pockets of joy along my route home

A tiny box filled with stories, waiting to be discovered! Where you can find your next favorite read and give your old books a brand new life. It is a lovely community connection… like strangers sharing pieces of themselves through pages.

I love the surprise of it too- you never know what you’ll find, but somehow it’s always exactly what you didn’t know you needed.
