The National Weather Service in St. Louis has issued a Winter Storm Warning for much of the region, including our area, for this weekend. Forecasts indicate accumulating snowfall combined with dangerously cold temperatures.
Residents are urged to take this warning seriously and prepare now. Avoid unnecessary travel once conditions deteriorate. If travel is unavoidable, carry emergency supplies including blankets, extra clothing, food, water, and a fully charged phone. Check on elderly neighbors and those with limited mobility. Ensure pets are brought indoors and that adequate heat sources are safely in place. Use caution with space heaters and never use generators or grills indoors.
