To my loyal, valued patients of Destin:

On Thursday, March 14 of this year, I closed my practice in Destin Plastic Surgery after 18 years. The decision to leave Destin Plastic Surgery was not difficult. Dr. Burden was getting a new partner this summer and we knew our space would be needed. We took a few months to consider our options going forward. This was the time for a hard decision. Should we move to a different office in Destin or should we open our office in our home town? We loved our practice and all of our patients so this was a very difficult choice to make. After careful consideration and a good bit of hand wringing, we did the practical thing and chose our home town of Mandeville, LA, because this is where all of our family is including our 7 grandchildren!
We have moved both our vein practice as well as our laser esthetic practice. We have added to our excellent line of esthetic lasers, now offering Moxi and the newest, laser hair removal technology from Sciton. Laser hair removal is now both painless and highly efficient.
We enjoyed our wonderful practice in Destin and became personal friends with so many of you. Leaving these relationships behind has been very difficult for us! To our surprise and delight, quite a few people have made the trip to our new office. We have loved seeing and treating them.

Mandeville is an upscale community about 45 minutes north of New Orleans on the shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Mandeville adjoins Covington, which has a trendy downtown area with great restaurants, shopping and the very nice Southern Hotel. Whether you are visiting for a getaway weekend and want a more upscale experience or if you want a quick stay for treatment only, there are appropriate hotels for each. We would be happy to make suggestions. The trip from Destin takes 4 ½ hours.

One of the things I enjoy most in our "boutique medical practice" is always trying to improve the "patient experience". When you work in a large group, often times it's difficult to get everyone "onboard".
