I have searched in all sorts of foolish ways to fill the God sized hole in my heart! I didn’t realize that was what I was doing until I hit a brick wall. Today, that hole in my heart is full! With God all things became possible. I stopped searching for meaninglessness and started searching for meaning and purpose.

A relationship with God replaced grasping gluttonously for things that only temporarily made me feel good. The desires of my heart are different as are my views of success. Instead of behaving like a spoiled child wanting to possess God shifted me to enjoying the moment and being grateful for what I have been blessed with. I no longer fear loss like I once did because it all belongs to God! Pamela Anne

Trust in God! That is the right response to all of life's difficulties! There is no way we can understand what God is doing in the midst of a crisis but we can have faith and trust that He is and will do something mighty! If you allow, God will use you and your storm to bless others. You don't have to think about it, it will just happen.

The mind is always trying to make sense of this or that. Especially when we do not have the answers. We create stories in our head to ease the pain and discomfort of not knowing. Ask God to fill that gap! Talking with God is another right response to our challenges. Spending time with God daily has been the most productive use of my mornings for several years now. This daily practice seeps into all areas of my day most of the time.

Back in the day, God was not a thing for me and I suffered dearly with all sorts of discomfort, mostly related to anger and depression. This relationship with God has helped me with that. This relationship with God has convinced me to be obedient to His truth. This relationship is a way of life. I am religious about this relationship! This is where my peace comes from.

Lord, I humbly ask that you bless the hearts and minds of those that are struggling today! Pamela Anne

Perhaps you cannot see God’s miracles because they are not happening outside of you! Even in this moment God is doing a thing! Perhaps He is untangling the weeds in your heart or transforming your mind. Maybe He is doing a healing in your body. Unbeknownst to you, God could be turning the heart of the person you just had an argument with.

The best thing you could do is let go of what you think a miracle of God should look like. God is doing a thing in your life even if you are in the hallway and especially if you can’t see it. Trust that there is a way being paved. Simply do the next thing that is in front of you and try to do it cheerfully! Pamela Anne

Today we are reminded that the trials we face in life are blessings in disguise and are necessary to build faith, perseverance, and trust in God. As I meditate on this word I am reminded of my own trials. What is coming to mind are two types of trials.

1) the ones I create by not listening to God
2) the ones that are outside of my control (Covid comes to mind)

I really want to say I have perfected the relationship with God enough that I always get it right. The truth is there is no such thing. I am however so much better than I used to be. That is a direct result of the trials. I had to learn through that pain that God is real. I had to learn what His voice sounded like for me. I had to learn how to surrender. I had to learn the signals of when to stop and turn. I even had to learn to pray differently.

It was during those trials that I sought God fervently. He was there! It was then that I chose to do all of those things! My life did not automaticaly straighten out. It was a slow and steady climb out of the pit back to light. The battle is still very real though. My will versus God’s will is a challenge that we face muliple times daily, likely till we are called home.

Pause and ask God is the best way to move forward when faced with indecision or an emotional matter. Restraint of pen, tongue, and text is also a helpful tool. Trust and faith came late in life but I am grateful I have them and God isn’t done yet!

As for the second, the things outside of our control, the same applies. Pray and don’t give up. Trust God. Even Covid brought people out of the darkness. Build out your foundation on God and He will see you through all of the storms! Pamela Anne

I am grateful for the grace of God! His grace is the grace that I want to embody in all of my experiences more than I want the human side! Yet, the human side forgets often. So with this new day we try again. Our God holds no record of the wrongs we have done so who are we to hold records of wrongs? Our God doesn’t judge! He simply waits for us to remember and turn back to Him. So who are we to judge? The thinking mind needs to constantly be reminded to stop judgments. Sometimes it is subtle other times it roars like a lion. It seems the closer we get to God the more interference we face.

As we go about this day remember that you are the light! Light casts out darkness. Remembering that we will face challenges and those challenges are an opportunity to remember God. Living close to God is a choice to remember He can fill the gap of our weakness! May all people feel His love today! Pamela Anne
