When this patient first came to us, they were suffering from poor sleep, dark circles under the eyes, morning fatigue, a thumb habit, and mouth breathing!

These signs pointed to underlying airway and orthodontic problems that needed to be addressed while the jaws were still growing.

With braces and airway-focused expansion, we’re widening the palate and arches, improving the bite, and creating space for teeth to come in just right.

Regular progress checks help us track these changes and fine-tune the plan. If you look closely at the progress photos, you’ll see how the new teeth are gradually settling into place — a great sign that treatment is working!

Underbites should ideally be corrected as early as age four or five in order to allow optimal facial growth and development. But even with older kids we can often make nonsurgical corrections.
