When people come for dietary advices after getting more concious about their fitness and Many times it happens that before coming to dietitians/Nutritionist they already had experimented themselves with Advices they get from various sources like YouTube, instagram, family whatsApp groups,padosi chachi's advice, chintu k papa's advice and mars k uncle's advice.
And by following this kind of tips which are not practically going to work for them due to their different type of body composition and other metabolic related problems. which leads to more problems or they don't even find any change between them and finally after following all this they lastly land up for dietitians/nutritionist advice which makes them and that person both requires more hard work to achieve the fitness goals which they wanted to be in.
So, it's really important to understand that one shouldn't follow any tips which are not specifically customized for them.
