Karmanos Cancer Institute's Office of Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) and the Faith Community Research Network invite you to attend this event on 📅Tuesday, April 28 from 6pm to 8pm at Second Ebenezer Church in Detroit.

This event is moderated by Pastor Frederick Belk, Senior Pastor at Mt. Charity Missionary Baptist Church. The program will also feature Dr. Cathryn Bock, Associate Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and Dr. Kevin Ginsburg, Urologist at Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Hayley Thompson, Ph.D., associate center director for Community Outreach and Engagement at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, and Theresa Hastert, Ph.D., associate professor at Wayne State University, were recently selected to serve on the board of the Michigan Cancer Consortium (MCC). Dr. Hastert researches ways to lessen the financial toxicity associated with cancer and Dr. Thompson leads the Karmanos COE office as it promotes cancer prevention and control, and aligns those efforts with community voices.
