๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ ๐ป๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐: A wife and mother of three, 2 boys & 1 girl. I am a certified birth doula and clinical social worker. I have been doing doula work for years but currently in my third year as the owner of DITC. In addition to my business, I currently work at Henry Ford Health as the Doula Supervisor for the new hospital-based doula program, making doula services accessible to more families; the first of its kind. It has been an amazing journey. I love birth work and advocating for families to have the best possible birth experiences. Everyone deserves a doula.
I entered birth work as a result of my own birth experiences, specifically my first birth that turned into a traumatic event. I never wanted my family and friends to experience what I did so I started helping friends prepare for birth.
โจFavorite quote/affirmation, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
โจPre Birth: Before I walk in every birthing space, I pray for protection, a healthy mom and baby, understanding, and peace throughout the journey.
โจFavorite tool in my doula bag: The CUB and TENS unit
โจFavorite Place to Travel: Jamaica
โจBest concert: Renaissance Tour, of course
โจAdvice/Encouragement for birthing person: Trust the process, Trust your body, and Be Confident in the decisions you make, even when the birth plan changes.
โจPractice Self-Care/Rest: Deep Tissue Massage and buying a new lipstick and liner combo
