I think the most beautiful thing about bereavement work is in realizing those healing methods intersect many facets in life. Be it overcoming the fear of doing something for the first time, trusting the process, leaning into your village or shifting your own perspective. Im so grateful I get to work with women in this way! They may think Im coaching them, but they're coaching me too! We even find that in other areas, when we realize our children are also raising us. There's always duality. Its never a one way street.💙🧡

Congratulations to a new cohort of Breastfeeding Peer Counselors!🥳 12 weeks of digging deep and creating pathways to creating a village of support to uplift the breastfeeding journey of the mothers they serve. As a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor and Doula Trainer, since 2012, the journey is not their's alone. The robust curriculum we use, makes it OURS. We grow and learn together👩🏿‍🤝‍👩🏾 Hats off ladies! This is the ripple for generations to come.

Fun Fact: let's say a mom is breastfeeding twins or even tandem feeding, right? The temperature of the breasts can operate INDEPENDENTLY to warm one of the babies if they're cold. It can also cool down if one the babies are overheating as well.

This is just one of the reasons why breastfeeding and skin to skin are pure magic!💖👌🏾
