Where do most residents live?? 🤷🏻‍♀️

- Our residents live all over the metro Detroit area including: Midtown, Royal Oak, Fraser, Madison Heights, Berkley and Dearborn 🗺️
- Rent is very affordable depending on where you are looking. Average rent is $800-$2000. 💲
- Some of our residents even purchased homes in the area! 🏡
- Commute to work is very wide. Our downtown friends are about a 5 minute drive away while we have some residents who commute up to 1 hour. 🚙🚗

Meet the Leadership: 👋 Recruitment Chair Edition 🤩
Matt Wong and Sandeep Bhatti 🥳

Matt Wong is a current second year resident interested in general pediatrics 👧🏽. He chose recruitment chair because he’s loved his AH experience so far and wants to help the program grow and find the future set of pediatricians! 🥹 Outside of the hospital he likes playing golf⛳️ and tennis 🎾, watching sports (except soccer, no hate 🤫), and talking his cats, Harrison 🐈 and LK 🐈‍⬛, for walks!

Sandeep Bhatti is our current third year resident and second year of being recruitment chair! She’s interested in becoming a hospitalist 🏥 while continuing community outreach! She chose this position because of how much AH has to offer as well as being able to represent the program! 😍 Outside of the hospital, she enjoys cooking 🥘, playing with her dog 🐕, Lorenzo, and working out 🏋🏾‍♀️.

⭐️Our new interns are now a full 2 weeks into residency and already crushing it! 💪🏽‼️

Had an AMAZING time with our family and family through our combined PEACH Program at providing medical screenings 👩🏽‍⚕️,Covid vaccines 💉, and fun! 🥳😍🥰
With events like these, we’re able to interact with the community we love to serve 🙌🏻, build trust 🫶🏿,and have a good time! We were able to get a lot more patients, kids and adults, to sign up ✏️ for appointments to help create a medical home 🏡 for the community!
PEACH 🍑 is a joint program through AH & CHM for residents interested in educating 🧠 and advocating 🗣 for community health!

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 TO THE BRIDE 👰🏽‍♀️ AND GROOM 🤵🏻‍♂️!!!!! Our very own got married 💍 last weekend to the amazing ❤️🥰 From a beautiful bride 🤩😍, to tear jerking vows🥹😭, to hilarious toasts😂💀, to a dance floor that would not stop 🕺🏼💃🏻, thank you for allowing us to share in such a special day🍾! Reeba, we are so excited for the life you’re building with Ryan. ❤️🧡💙💚💜💛 Ryan, you’ve been a part of the AH family for years, but we’re beyond excited to say that it’s official!💒

Last week, Dr. Lampe and Dr. Troy 👩‍⚕️, presented during noon lecture🗣!

The residents all learned 🧠 a little bit more about pediatric dental care 😁and ways to direct patients to have good oral health. 🦷

The presentation 🎤 was powerpoint that was prepared for the group PEACH 🍑 and an organization called Brilliant Detroit💫.

PEACH 🍑 is an organization that all residents 🥼 have the opportunity to be involved with and give back to the families❤️ of Detroit.

Knocking 🥊 these pins 🎳 down almost as well as our amazing residents 🧑🏻‍⚕️👩🏽‍⚕️ are crushing their rotations! 💪🏼🔥 Had an absolute blast 💥 at our last minute ⏰ change up for our wellness day due to weather ⛈. Check out our Dino gals 🦖👯‍♀️ and of course you know we had to end with a selfie! 📸🤳Can’t forget the trip to get dessert after🍦 🍰🍪 (no pics taken because we were all too busy eating 😋)
Wellness days ✌️ occur every month 🗓 with half of our residents going to each. They provide a time to relax 🧘🏼‍♂️, chat about highlights 😍 and frustrations 😤, and just have fun 🤩 🥳

" 🎶Take me out to the ballgame 🎶"

This week our residents 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ got to take a trip to the Tigers game🐯! Programming like this allows our team to take a break, have some fun, and hang out together! There may have been minimal watching of the actual game ⚾but there was tons of great food 🌭🍦, fun conversation and amazing people! 🔥
