This year, the Survivor Board and Youth Board of LA VIDA Partnership came together to create a powerful ofrenda that tells a story of strength, remembrance, and hope.
The ofrenda includes framed pictures and stories of women whose lives were tragically taken by . A heartfelt tribute to honor their memory and remind us why this work matters.
We also celebrate the life and vision of Dolores González Ramírez, founder and director of LA VIDA Partnership, whose leadership 25 years ago gave birth to a program dedicated to supporting survivors and preventing violence in .
Our ofrenda tells her story:
📿 Rosary & Scapular – Her deep Catholic faith connected her to the community.
📖 Journal, Pen, Glasses & Books – A woman who found strength in writing and reflection.
🧣 Rebozo – A proud symbol of her Mexican heritage and cultural roots.
📌 Head Start Pin – Her commitment to education, family, and children.
🏆 Awards – Recognizing her tireless advocacy for survivors and her leadership in creating change.
As CHASS celebrates 55 years of service, we proudly recognize 25 years of LA VIDA Partnership, continuing to provide language-accessible, community-driven support through counseling, court advocacy, youth education, and outreach.
✨ Join us in honoring these lives and recommitting to a future free from violence. The ofrenda will be on display at the CHASS Southwest Center during regular business hours through November 26, 2025.

Este año, la Junta de Sobrevivientes y la Junta Juvenil de LA VIDA Partnership se unieron para crear una poderosa ofrenda que cuenta una historia de fortaleza, recuerdo y esperanza.
La ofrenda incluye fotografías enmarcadas e historias de mujeres cuyas vidas fueron trágicamente arrebatadas por la violencia doméstica. Un homenaje sincero para honrar su memoria y recordarnos por qué este trabajo es tan importante.
También celebramos la vida y visión de Dolores González Ramírez, fundadora y directora de LA VIDA Partnership, cuyo liderazgo hace 25 años dio origen a un programa dedicado a apoyar a sobrevivientes y prevenir la violencia en el suroeste de Detroit.

Mientras CHASS celebra 55 años de servicio, reconocemos con orgullo los 25 años de LA VIDA Partnership, que continúa brindando apoyo accesible y centrado en la comunidad a través de consejería, defensa en la corte, educación juvenil y alcance comunitario.
