This February we celebrate Black History Month and National Black HIV and AIDS Awareness Day through knowledge, access and compassion. With temperatures dropping into the teens and wind chills in the single digits, we are activating overnight shelters and daytime respite locations to help keep residents safe from the extreme cold.

Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries will activate an overnight stand-by shelter at
📍 13130 Woodward Avenue
🕔 Wednesday, January 14 at 5 PM
🕛 Open through Tuesday, January 20, closing at 12 PM

Additional warming centers include:
• Adam Butzel Complex
• Coleman A. Young Recreation Center
🕗 Special MLK Day hours: 8 AM – 9 PM
