We get you rewarded for healthy activities. Meridian is Michigan's largest Medicaid HMO, providing health care to Medicaid beneficiaries through a contract with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Meridian's affiliates include MeridianComplete a Medicare-Medicaid health plan, Ambetter from Meridian a commercial plan available through the Health Insurance Marketplace, and WellCare a Medicare Advantage plan. Fitness is for everyone — kids and adults alike! Meridian encourages families to make movement fun and part of everyday life.

Why it matters:
✔ For kids: Active play supports healthy growth and strong bones.
✔ For adults: Regular exercise helps prevent heart disease, diabetes, and kidney disease.
✔ For everyone: Boosts energy, mood, and overall well-being.

Some ideas to get moving include taking a family walk, playing basketball or soccer together, dancing to your favorite songs or riding bikes at the park. Just 30 minutes of activity a day can make a big difference!

On February 9, Meridian had an inspiring day with Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) as we celebrated more than 137 student artists at the 2026 All City Visual Arts Exhibition! 🎨

From painting and photography to ceramics, jewelry and video art, their work reflected exceptional creativity and resilience. It was a powerful reminder of how the arts give young people healthy ways to express themselves and feel seen.

Meridian’s $20,000 contribution supported the supplies teachers needed to help students bring their ideas to life. We remain committed to uplifting opportunities that strengthen confidence, emotional well‑being and community for Detroit’s youth!

Early detection saves lives. Meridian encourages Medicaid members to take charge of their health with regular self-checks and preventive screenings. These steps can help identify early warning signs of:

✔ Heart disease
✔ Diabetes
✔ Kidney disease
✔ High blood pressure

Why kidney health? Kidney disease often has no symptoms in early stages. Simple tests like blood pressure checks and urine tests can help catch it early. Tip: If you have diabetes or high blood pressure, ask your doctor about kidney screening — it’s covered by Medicaid!

This year's No One Eats Alone Day was meaningful for both Meridian and students at Clinton Valley Elementary School. Our Community Engagement team lead interactive activities like Find-a-Friend bingo for 4th and 5th grade students, aiming to help build connections and discover how much they have in common with one another. Students enjoyed learning more about their peers and left the event with Meridian swag bags to commemorate the experience.
