Meridian in Michigan (Meridian) is a government-sponsored health plan whose goal is to help individuals live better, healthier lives by providing high quality care that is both easy and accessible. We get care for the whole you from head to toe, including vision, preventive care, and mental health support. We get you the care you need, close to home with our large network of providers. We get you rewarded for healthy activities. Meridian is Michigan's largest Medicaid HMO, providing health care to Medicaid beneficiaries through a contract with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Meridian's affiliates include MeridianComplete a Medicare-Medicaid health plan, Ambetter from Meridian a commercial plan available through the Health Insurance Marketplace, and WellCare a Medicare Advantage plan. October is National Dental Hygeine Awareness Month! This month, we're celebrating healthy smiles because oral health is whole-body health.

At Meridian, we work to ensure everyone has access to the tools, education, and care they need to maintain strong, healthy teeth and gums. This month, remember the 4 pillars of dental hygiene:

Meridian is teaming up with local organizations in Calhoun County for a FREE Community Baby Shower. This is a special event for expectant parents and caregivers of children ages 0-18 months. You can expect:

Earlier this month, Meridian staff from our Population Health & Clinical Operations and Community Engagement teams proudly joined the Sickle Cell Matters Awareness Walk in Detroit!

It was a powerful day of unity, standing alongside community partners and residents to raise awareness for Sickle Cell Disease. Our dedicated Sickle Cell team was on-site sharing valuable health resources, sparking meaningful conversation and handing out Meridian friendship bracelets to share a token of our commitment to care.

A huge thank you to Sickle Cell Disease Association of America-MI Chapter for organizing this inspiring event! We’re proud to support your mission and look forward to continuing to advocate for those affected by Sickle Cell Disease.

September is Newborn Screening Awareness Month 👶

Every baby deserves a healthy start – and that begins with a simple test. Since 1965, Michigan’s Newborn Screening Program has tested over 7.5 million infants, identifying more than 7,400 babies with rare but treatable conditions.
