I wanted to share something that might interest you. There’s an 8-week support group called “Men’s Mental Health and Wellness” at Wayne State’s College of Education. It’s all about building emotional resilience and tackling personal challenges in a supportive environment.

Here are the details:

When: Every Wednesday from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, starting 10/09 until 12/04

Who: Open to male-identifying folks aged 18 and older

Cost: Completely FREE!

You’ll get to explore things like self-compassion, motivation, and gratitude, all while connecting with others.

If you’re interested, spaces are limited.

Mental health is vital for everyone, including men. Men are often faced with unique challenges and societal pressures like fear of embarrassments or emasculation that can impact their mental well-being. It's essential to encourage open conversations about emotions, provide support networks, and break down stereotypes/stigmas that may prevent men from seeking help when needed. Encouraging men to prioritize their mental health and seek support when necessary or just in general is crucial for their overall well-being. Empower our men to engage in their self care by incorporating therapy into their routine. When our mental health is properly balanced, it makes for a better environment for not just ourselves , but the people around us as well. Let’s take steps towards fostering happier hearts and stronger minds. 💚💪🏼
