To the passionate and caring dentists who so generously devote their time to the St. Vincent de Paul community:
I am honored that I have been granted the opportunity to share my story with each of you. To me, helping St. Vincent de Paul is personal. My journey started in Albania where I became an orphan at the age of five. Soon thereafter, my siblings and I were sent to the United States to live with our grandmother. As an elderly woman who was an immigrant herself, my grandmother struggled to provide for us financially. My family and I had very limited resources, which led us to seek government assistance and aid from food banks. That being said, I empathize with the struggle that many of our patients at St. Vincent de Paul have endured.
Recently, I was informed that our dental clinic would operate only three days out of the week. I was torn because I realized that the employees and those in need of dental care would be negatively affected. Thinking of my past and what it felt like to receive help, I felt that I needed to reach out to see what I could do in my power to help make a difference and finally give back. Nancy encouraged and empowered me to think of a solution.
I would like to propose a possible partnership to support and fundraise for St. Vincent, which will benefit all parties involved. I spoke with my brother and mentor Armando Doku, who is the owner of Avaneer Dental Studio. With your support -- I believe we can make a difference. We invite those of you who are passionate about keeping the clinic running and continuing to serve the underprivileged individuals of Detroit to use Avaneer Dental Studio for their laboratory services which include: metal free restorations (Emax Wax and Pressed, BruxZir, Empress Wax and Pressed, Cosmetic White Wax, Layered Zirconia), PFM’s and implants. In return, Avaneer Dental Studio will donate 9 percent of the profit agreed with St. Vincent de Paul on a quarterly basis.
I am confident that by coming together we can help keep the doors of St. Vincent de Paul open and continue to help those who are in great need of your services. I believe that working together will help alleviate the financial burden that St. Vincent faces and in turn all parties will benefit. Let’s continue to provide the patients with a smile that they can depend on. Please reply with your office address and I will personally drop off a welcome packet to try us. Delivery is included in the fees that are outlined with the attachment.
