Our inaugural spotlight on the Medical Alumni Association Board of Governors features Dr. Sean Bak, M.D. class of ‘99. Dr. Bak is deeply involved in numerous initiatives within the School of Medicine, including leading an Alumni Voices webinar on private equity in healthcare, serving as a volunteer preceptor at the CHIP Clinic, volunteering for hypertension screenings at the Detroit Riverwalk, interviewing prospective students, and conducting mock residency interviews, among other activities.

Dr. Bak expressed that the most gratifying aspect of his role on the Board of Governors and his volunteer work with current medical students is witnessing their sincere interactions with community members. Observing their compassion and enthusiasm brings him immense satisfaction.
