It’s easy to look around a room and feel like your movement should match everyone else’s.

Like your pose should look the same.
Like your pace should be faster or more fluid.
Like you should already know what you’re doing.

But that’s not what yoga is meant to be.

✨ Your body is different.
✨ Your energy is different.
✨ Your experience is different.

Your pose doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Your pace can be slower and your practice can shift from day to day.

At Pocket Studio, you’re always encouraged to move in a way that feels right for you, not what it looks like from the outside.

✨ You’re allowed to take your time.
✨ You’re allowed to adjust.

Not every pose is going to feel right in your body, and that’s okay.

Yoga isn’t about forcing yourself into a shape. It’s about learning how to listen, adjust, and move in a way that feels supportive.

🧘‍♀️ Sometimes that looks like softening the pose.

🧘‍♂️ Sometimes it means choosing a different variation.

🧘🏽 And sometimes it’s simply taking a pause or skipping it altogether.

At Pocket Studio, there’s no expectation to do everything exactly as it’s shown. You’re always encouraged to move in a way that works for you.

Your body will tell you what it needs. You’re allowed to listen.

Yoga isn’t about forcing your body into a shape.

It’s about finding a way of moving that actually feels supportive.

Small adjustments can make a big difference, especially if you’re new, feeling tight, or just having an off day.

Bending your knees, making movements smaller, or taking a pause when you need to aren’t “modifications” in the sense of doing less… they’re ways of making the practice work for you.

At Pocket Studio, we always encourage moving in a way that feels good in your body, not what looks a certain way.

Pocket Studio was created for people who want something a little different — something quieter, more personal, and more welcoming.

If you’ve only experienced larger yoga classes, small group can feel very different.

There’s more space to settle in.
More room to move at your own pace.
And a quieter, more personal atmosphere.

At Pocket Studio, classes are intentionally kept small so they feel welcoming rather than overwhelming.

You’re not trying to keep up or blend into a crowded room, you’re able to actually connect with the space, the movement, and the people around you.

It’s a slower, more supportive experience. One where you can take your time, ask questions if you need to, and move in a way that feels right for your body.

Our April schedule is live! 🌷Shannon is hosting a 90-minute Pocket Studio Session on Saturday, April 25th at 2:30pm.

Weekly classes include Functional Flow on Sundays at 10am and Hatha Yoga on Mondays at 11am.

One of the most common things we hear is “I want to try yoga, but I’m not flexible enough.”

And it makes sense, a lot of what we see online makes yoga look like something you have to be good at before you even begin.

But that’s not what yoga is meant to be.

You don’t need to prepare your body for yoga. Yoga meets you where you are.

At Pocket Studio, classes are small, the pace is gentle, and there’s always space to move in a way that feels right for you. No pressure to keep up. No expectation to look a certain way.

Whether you feel stiff, out of practice, or completely new — you’re welcome here.

When people think about strength, they often picture intensity.

Fast movements.

Sweat.

Pushing through.

But strength can also look much quieter than that.

Moving slowly asks your body to stay engaged and present in a different way. It gives you time to notice how a movement feels, adjust when something doesn’t feel right, and support your body instead of forcing it.

Slow yoga isn’t about doing less, it’s about moving with more intention.

At Pocket Studio, we focus on movement that feels supportive rather than performative. The goal isn’t to push harder, it’s to move in a way that helps you feel more connected to your body.

Trying a new yoga class can feel a little intimidating.

A lot of people tell us they’ve thought about coming to class but weren’t sure what to expect, or worried they might not “fit in.”

Pocket Studio was created to feel different.

Our classes are intentionally small so they feel welcoming and personal rather than crowded or overwhelming. The focus isn’t on doing things perfectly, it’s simply about moving in a way that feels supportive for your body.

Whether you’re brand new to yoga or returning after a long break, you’re welcome here exactly as you are.
