Every year, our patient Zeundrax Hurks gives back to the community by hosting the Annual Community Backpack Giveaway, an incredible event that helps young scholars prepare for the upcoming school tear.

Today, on August 24th from 2 PM to 5 PM EST come check it out!

They'll be distributing backpacks, school supplies, snacks, and more to make sure students have everything they need to start the school year off right. We are honored to be a part of Zeundrax’s dental health journey and support her as she continues to do such great work in our community!

We're so excited to shine a spotlight on one of our favorite patients, Charles House! Charles has been a part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family for over twenty years, and we're always thrilled to see him for his appointments.

During his last visit, Charles filled us in on his latest adventures. He has been enjoying the luxury of traveling and has already checked off an incredible list of destinations, including Panama, Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador.

As if that wasn't enough, he's currently planning a trip to Spain! Charles is truly a jet-setter, and we love hearing about his incredible experiences seeing the world. We’re excited to shine a spotlight on our wonderful patient, Kelechi Houston, who has been part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family for three years! Kelechi and her children always brighten our office with their smiles, and we’re so grateful for the kind words they’ve shared about their experiences with us.

This summer, Kelechi has spent time exploring new places and making the most of the break before the busy school year kicks off. Her last adventure of the summer is a trip to France—but not before stopping by our office for her routine visit! This week, Detroit Caring Dentistry is honored to shine a spotlight on our wonderful patient, Rita Lockridge! Rita isn’t just a valued patient—she’s the beloved god sister of our very own Dr. David Hill and has been a dedicated supporter of our practice for over 30 years.

At her most recent check-up, Rita brought in her family, making it a true family affair! She was accompanied by her son Dion Lockridge and his two amazing children, Giovani and Amari. That’s three generations all gathered under our roof—what a blessing for us!

Join us in celebrating our incredible Patient of the Week, Jerry Brown! Jerry has been a loyal patient with our dental family for an amazing thirty-five years. He first met Dr. Hill when he was just starting out in practice, and has stuck with us ever since. Jerry says his experience here has always been outstanding! We are truly honored to have been part of his journey and dental wellness all these years.

This year is extra special for Jerry, as he’s recently become a granddad and can’t stop smiling—his new grandson is “amazing!” Jerry is looking forward to a summer filled with family memories and, of course, cheering on the Tigers baseball team.

This week at Detroit Caring Dentistry, we’re excited to celebrate Pastor Ernest as our Patient of the Week! Although Pastor Ernest has only been with us for 3 months, he says his experience has already been “great so far”—and we couldn’t be happier to have him as part of our dental family.

Pastor Ernest recently returned to Detroit from Wisconsin to serve as interim pastor at Bethel A.M.E Church. Fun fact: he’s known Dr. Hill practically all his life! We’re honored that he chose us for his dental care during this special chapter.

A huge congratulations to Pastor Ernest and the entire Bethel A.M.E Church community as they celebrate their 184th anniversary with a gala at Wayne County Community College. What an incredible milestone!

We are absolutely bursting with pride to announce that Cianna has graduated from high school with honors! Her dedication and hard work truly paid off, and we couldn't be more impressed.

This fall, Cianna will be embarking on an exciting new chapter at Oakland University, where she will pursue her passion for veterinary medicine. Knowing Cianna, we have no doubt she'll excel in her studies. Not only is she incredibly gifted academically, but she's also wonderfully kind and caring – qualities that will undoubtedly make her an exceptional veterinarian.

We are full of joy as we celebrate our Patient of the Week, the brilliant Sophia Baker! Sophia has been a wonderful part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family since 2023, and we've had the pleasure of watching her shine.

Huge congratulations are in order for Sophia on her incredible achievement: successfully graduating from Cass Tech High School! What an outstanding milestone!

But the excitement doesn't stop there! This fall, Sophia will be embarking on her next big adventure as she heads to Norfolk State University. Our entire team is so thrilled for Sophia, and we have no doubt that her brilliance, dedication, and spirit will exceed all expectations as she embarks on this exciting new chapter.
