This week, Detroit Caring Dentistry is thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of our most loyal and valued patients, Reverend Celia McCallum!

Reverend Celia has been a part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family for over 15 years, trusting her smile to Dr. Hill. She shared that she feels safe and secure with him taking care of her teeth, which is the greatest compliment we could receive.

Her trust in Dr. Hill's care is so strong that she has recommended countless family and friends to our practice over the years. We especially love seeing her daughter, Ramona McCallum, and her wonderful grandchildren—Tylia, Rania, and Cairo—who are all now part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family! We'd love to introduce you to our patient of the week, the lovely Kori!

Kori recently had her very first dental visit, and what a joy it was to have her! She was a natural in the dental chair, and we're so glad that our chairs reminded her of a fun carousel ride. Kori also enjoyed a bit of coloring and left with a big smile and a brand-new toothbrush!

Kori's mom, Courtney, also has a special history with us—she was first introduced to our office when she was Kori's age! It's so heartwarming to see the importance of great dental care passed down from generation to generation.

Courtney has since brought her husband and son to our practice, and we're so proud to be the dental home for this wonderful family.

This week, Detroit Caring Dentistry is delighted to shine a spotlight on one of our longtime patients, Marcia Ward-Tumpkin!

Marcia has been a part of our dental family for over 30 years, and she shared with our team how much our staff has meant to her over the years. Even when life took her to different places, Marcia always made her way back home to Detroit for her dental care because of the comfort and trust she feels with our team. Stories like hers make us proud of the warm and lasting relationships we have built with our patients.

Marcia and her husband, Alan, are Pastors at Life Church in Southfield. They were recently awarded a grant from the Lily Foundation to take a three-month sabbatical, they were encouraged by their pastors to pursue what makes their hearts sing. For Marcia and Alan, that meant lots of travel, rest, and quality time together. They returned feeling blessed, renewed, and ready to embrace the season of Fall with gratitude and joy.

We’re so thankful to have Marcia as a cherished part of our Detroit Caring Dentistry family. Patients like her remind us that dentistry is about more than smiles—it’s about building lifelong connections.

It's time for our Patient of the Week spotlight! This week, we're shining a light on the wonderful Jessica Hinton. Jessica has been a valued member of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family for over 6 years now, and she says visiting our office always feels like seeing family. We couldn't be more grateful for her kind words and continued trust in our care!

Jessica has been incredibly busy lately. She started a new position as an assistant loan officer with Cinnaire in May of 2025 and recently completed the Kansas Fellowship with the strategic community partnership. On top of all her professional achievements, she's also been enjoying her summer by traveling and spending quality time with friends and her sweet dogs, Railey and Chanel.

Thank you for being such a great patient, Jessica! We are so proud to have you as part of our dental family and can't wait to see what you accomplish next!

Every year, our patient Zeundrax Hurks gives back to the community by hosting the Annual Community Backpack Giveaway, an incredible event that helps young scholars prepare for the upcoming school tear.

Today, on August 24th from 2 PM to 5 PM EST come check it out!

They'll be distributing backpacks, school supplies, snacks, and more to make sure students have everything they need to start the school year off right. We are honored to be a part of Zeundrax’s dental health journey and support her as she continues to do such great work in our community!

We're so excited to shine a spotlight on one of our favorite patients, Charles House! Charles has been a part of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family for over twenty years, and we're always thrilled to see him for his appointments.

During his last visit, Charles filled us in on his latest adventures. He has been enjoying the luxury of traveling and has already checked off an incredible list of destinations, including Panama, Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador.

Kelechi and her children always brighten our office with their smiles, and we’re so grateful for the kind words they’ve shared about their experiences with us.

This week, Detroit Caring Dentistry is honored to shine a spotlight on our wonderful patient, Rita Lockridge! Rita isn’t just a valued patient—she’s the beloved god sister of our very own Dr. David Hill and has been a dedicated supporter of our practice for over 30 years.

At her most recent check-up, Rita brought in her family, making it a true family affair! She was accompanied by her son Dion Lockridge and his two amazing children, Giovani and Amari. That’s three generations all gathered under our roof—what a blessing for us!

Join us in celebrating our incredible Patient of the Week, Jerry Brown! Jerry has been a loyal patient with our dental family for an amazing thirty-five years. He first met Dr. Hill when he was just starting out in practice, and has stuck with us ever since. Jerry says his experience here has always been outstanding! We are truly honored to have been part of his journey and dental wellness all these years.

This year is extra special for Jerry, as he’s recently become a granddad and can’t stop smiling—his new grandson is “amazing!” Jerry is looking forward to a summer filled with family memories and, of course, cheering on the Tigers baseball team.

Thank you, Jerry, for being such a valued part of our dental family and sharing your story with us. We wish you lots of joy and laughter with your growing family this summer!
