At Detroit Caring Dentistry, our patients are the heart of everything we do, and this week we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on a very special duo, Chandra and Thomas Hadden. The pair visited us this past week for a fresh cleaning just in time for Mardi Gras, and their energy was the perfect way to help us "let the good times roll!" As big fans of the festivities, they brought a wonderful spirit to the office that matched their bright new smiles.

Regarding their time with us, Chandra and Thomas shared: “Our experience has been top tier, very friendly staff, professional, and make every visit a comfortable and welcoming experience. Dr. Hill is always gentle and takes the time to explain everything clearly.” We are so grateful for those kind words and truly pride ourselves on making sure every patient feels at home in our chairs.

The Hadden family has much more than just a holiday to celebrate lately. We are incredibly proud to announce that Thomas is a wonderful scholar who recently made the honor roll! As he prepares to become a senior next year at Harper Woods High School, we know he has a very bright future ahead of him. Victoria’s loyalty to our team is unmatched—she has been a patient of ours for over 20 years. Her journey with us actually began in Jackson, Michigan, where she first started seeing Dr. Hill. When we moved to our current Detroit location, Victoria didn't let the distance stop her.

She now braves a one-hour commute from her neighborhood just to keep her smile in our care. That kind of dedication leaves us feeling incredibly grateful and humble!

It feels like just yesterday that Casey first walked through our doors, but we recently realized a remarkable milestone—Casey has been a loyal patient with us for 25 years!

Beyond his commitment to his health, Casey is making waves in the community. We are thrilled to celebrate his recent appointment as Chair of the Community Screenings for the Save a Leg, Save a Life (SALSAL) Foundation.

About the Foundation: The Save a Leg, Save a Life Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing lower extremity amputations caused by diabetes and peripheral artery disease. Through education, early detection, and community screenings, they work tirelessly to improve the quality of life for those at risk.

We know Casey will do an amazing job leading these vital screenings and helping our neighbors stay healthy and mobile.

We are so excited to highlight a very special member of our dental family this week—Micaela. Micaela has been visiting us at Detroit Caring Dentistry since 2012. There is nothing we love more than growing alongside our patients, and Micaela is the perfect example of that. She recently shared with our team how happy she is to have had the same dentist and staff guiding her dental journey for over a decade. The feeling is mutual, Micaela!

Micaela started her college journey at Eastern Michigan University in 2025! She’s currently working toward her 2029 graduation and she couldn't be more excited. Micaela, we are so proud of you! We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our latest Patient of the Week is the incredible Marvin Davis! Marvin has been a beloved member of the Detroit Caring Dentistry family for an amazing 30 years. Patients like Marvin are the reason we love what we do; his loyalty, kindness, and commitment to his dental health over the last three decades have made him a true staple in our office. It is always a highlight of our day when he walks through the door, and we couldn't be more grateful for his continued trust in our care.

Marvin is currently enjoying a wonderful holiday season, and he has some truly spectacular plans for the New Year! He is kicking things off with a 10-day tour through the soul of the South, visiting New Orleans, Mississippi, and Alabama. But the adventure doesn't stop there—he’s also set to embark on a 10-day cruise that will take him to Venice, Turkey, Greece, and Norway! We are so excited for him to see the world with that great smile.

We are thrilled to welcome Angelo Little to our Detroit Caring Dentistry family! Angelo shared that he previously had some difficult experiences at the dentist, so we were overjoyed to hear that his first visit with us was smooth and completely stress-free. Building that trust is what we strive for every day, and we’re so glad he felt right at home in our chair.

Angelo is currently back in town for the holidays from Norfolk State University! When he’s not hitting the books at his HBCU, he’s out there making big professional moves—he just submitted his very first major construction proposal and is rightfully excited about this huge milestone. We love seeing our patients succeed and are honored to be part of his journey.

This week, we are celebrating a very special member of our Detroit Caring Dentistry family, Jackie Childress! Jackie's connection to our practice runs deep—she has known Dr. Hill her entire life and has been a dedicated patient here for countless years.

Even though Jackie now enjoys the warmer weather in South Carolina, she made time during her holiday visit to Detroit to see us. We were so happy to work with her busy visiting schedule to ensure she received the excellent dental care she deserves before heading back south.

We also want to give a huge congratulations to Jackie on her retirement! After an incredible career spanning 53 years, with 48 years dedicated to the vital field of social work, she is now enjoying a well-deserved rest. We deeply appreciate her lifetime of service to others in the community.

Thank you for being such a wonderful patient, Jackie! We wish you a peaceful, relaxing, and joyous holiday season!
