The winner of this week's Charity Cocktail Competition is...Brian ()with his cucumber juice, Sonic Boom! But the real winner is the , who will be receiving $460 in donations thanks to all of YOUR votes.

Annnnd we are back. Today is Juneteenth; in honor of that, we are going to be supporting and acknowledging Ruth Ellis and the work she has done. Throughout her life, Ellis was an advocate of the rights of g**s and le****ns, and of African American. The right here in Detroit honors the life and work of Ruth Ellis and is one of only four agencies in the United States dedicated to homeless LGBT youth and young adults. Among their services are a drop-in center, street outreach program, licensed foster care home and an integrated Health and Wellness Center that provides medical and mental health care. Thank you Ruth Ellis for the love and joy that you spread so many years ago!

Friday comes fast! Week 2 of the Charity Cocktail Competition is upon us.
This week we support Mother Earth by trying to raise money to support The Detroit River Conservancy (). So for you nature lovers and drinks lovers, get your taste buds and donations ready.
