National Rural Health Day has been a staple for over a decade and celebrating the Power of Rural is more important than ever. Every year, since 2011, the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health sets aside the third Thursday of November to celebrate rural health across the country. This year, the Center for Rural Health (CRH) invites you to join us in celebrating this national movement.
What is National Rural Health Day?
National Rural Health Day is an opportunity to celebrate the power of rural by honoring the selfless, community-minded spirit that prevails in rural America. This day not only showcases the efforts and innovations of rural healthcare but also ensures that rural healthcare providers know how valued they are to their communities, to their state, and to the country.
We challenge North Dakota healthcare organizations and facilities to find a way to celebrate and show your support for National Rural Health Day on November 20. If you share anything on social media, use to join in with the thousands of others who will also be celebrating rural health.
One way to celebrate is by completing the color page attached to the post. You can keep it, hang it up at your school, or even give it to someone you know who works in rural health care. You can also submit it for a coloring contest.
Pages can be submitted two ways:
1 - Scan and email to holly.long@UND.edu
2 - Mail:
