I’m so thrilled to announce that Cayetana Calderon-Smith, M.S.Ed., M.Phil.Ed has joined our practice! Cayetana works with adolescents, teens, emerging adults and adults. Cayetana's approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, evidence-based — and when appropriate — fun. Her clinical approach is grounded by psychodynamic practice and third-wave Cognitive-Behavioral skills, tools and interventions. Because therapy is a space for healing, growth and insight, Cayetana places a special emphasis on authentic, meaningful therapeutic relationships; this person-to-person approach is also backed by science.
Cayetana’s special clinical interests include (a) adaptive and maladaptive internet use across screens, devices, apps and games, (b) neurodiversity (Autism and ADHD), and (c) adjustment disorders across the lifespan. She speaks at national, state and regional conferences and has been published in Counseling Today. She is currently co-authoring multiple papers for peer-review on internet use, mental health and special populations. Cayetana is an Early-Career Board Member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Sciences and is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Pennsylvania Counseling Association and the American Psychological Association (Associate). She holds two master’s degrees in counseling from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
We can’t wait for you to bring your experience and background to make important contributions to our practice!
